How do you reconcile with today’s political climate in the United States? I am angry. I am disgusted. I am disparaged. I am ashamed to be a citizen of a nation that treats our allies with such disdain and dishonor. Yet I cannot settle my mind. I cannot shove these roiling thoughts aside and get on with my day. How terrible is that?

How do you reconcile a friend’s suicide? I have no words. Or perhaps I do….angry|disbelief|confusion|sadness|troubled|nauseous.

Creative Block. I have a zillion projects to complete over the next couple of months. Our finances depend on me bringing in commissions from those projects as well. But none of them are truly inspiring me. Likely due to having been sick for the past six weeks and just damn tired. My voice is still not fully recovered…hope I get it back soon as I miss speaking without limits and singing along with my favorite music.

I miss curling up with a great read too. How can I find my way back into reading?? Menopause has screwed up my daily life in many little ways….being able to stay up beyond 11PM every night to read is one way. Relationships and my ability to REMEMBER things are others.

Speaking of relationships…..I have one of those tough relationships with my mother. She’s going on 85 and we will never be friends. She lives with us too which complicates things….like a LOT. I bite my tongue often. It seems to work overall. I’ll always be twelve and know nothing to her. Whatever.

We had an incredible and literally out of this world experience on board. We had planned to return in a few more years to truly dive deep into this world. But alas….Disney shuttered it. SIGHS. “Light the spark!!”
